Meet Dr. David O'Neal
I graduated from The West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1990, where I received first-rate training in all aspects of general dentistry. Upon completing my degree, I joined the United States Navy as a Dental Officer. After two years of service with the Navy, I began working as an associate dentist for Dr. Abraham Dekelbaum in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Shortly after my employment in 1993, I acquired the practice from the retiring Dr. Dekelbaum. I am licensed by the Dental Board of Maryland and am a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association and Southern Maryland Dental Society.
I take pleasure in practicing general dentistry because it allows me the opportunity to treat and visit with returning patients. Adult treatment is my main focus in the practice. Restoring and saving teeth is of the utmost importance to me. I have been told on numerous occasions that I have a gentle touch with administering anesthesia.
Although I was born in Washington, D.C., I was raised in the gorgeous mountainous state of West Virginia and am proud to be a “Mountaineer”! I’m still active with WVU Dental School and march in the Alumni Band at Homecomings. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening and am an avid traveler.
